Snow Patrol are an alternative rock band who formed in Scotland.
The band consists of the following members:
Gary Lightbody (lead vocals and guitar)
Nathan Connolly (guitar)
Paul Wilson (bass guitar)
Tom Simpson (keyboards)
Jonny Quinn (drums)
Performing under the names of Polar bear and Shrug before deciding on Snow Patrol due to having the same name as an american band.
They have become a well known act in both the UK and USA and recently were the last act to perfom on the long running UK show Top of the Pops.
They hit mainstream success with the release of their third album final straw which featured the songs Spitting Games, Chocolate, and Run. The second hit album Eyes Open was released in 2006 and included the tracks Chasing Cars and You're All I Have which later went on to become the best selling album in the UK in 2006. Their singles have recently started to appear in some well known films including Signal Fire from the Spider-Man 3 soundtrack.
